Part 3 in the series.  This last Wide Receiver episode should help you fill out your bench and add key bye week replacements to your roster.  If you went running back heavy early these guys might be starters.  Also, we moved Pittman to #34 and dropped Rice out of the list entirely (done with his issues).

Ding. Welcome back to edff. It's ding, and we're going to round out the last of the wide receivers we're going to talk about for the draft this year. So it's numbers 41 through 60. What are these guys to you? They're like your number three wide receiver, number four, a bench stash, a bye week replacement. But if you started out with the heavy running back approach, this could be your number two wide receiver, number three, depending if you went and got quarterback or tight end early. So pay attention to this one, just like in the running back segment we did last night. A lot of these guys have issues, so we'll talk about a bunch of those. But first a little bit of housekeeping. I want you to go ahead and take rice out of the wide receiver 34 position and just drop him and don't think about him again. This guy might get suspended eight games this season. I'm absolutely done with him. He's he should probably be in jail, but whatever the rumor is that the NFL is looking for eight games. So what I want you to do is I want you to take Pittman and put him in there. I know that sounds like a stretch, but Pittman is going to be the high target man now that Jones is going to be the quarterback, and that was announced just yesterday, so that really elevates his status. With down, still hurt and Pittman, he's still a tall target, just, you know, not as good as neighbors, obviously, but because he's not in his prime. But Pittman has some opportunities, so I would put him in number 34 Okay, a couple other pieces of news. Vailing went to the saints, so that means Denver, you know, is not going to use his services anymore. The saints, well, they're terrible, so that's not going to help him out. So I feel bad for the kid. Other news out there, everyone in San Francisco is hurt, except Pearsall. So you definitely want to get that guy, and we'll talk about him in this round for sure. Devonta Smith has a new groin injury that's not good. Both he and AJ are in trouble. Addison is hurt now, plus he's got the three game suspension, plus he's got to buy week six. We'll talk about that here shortly. And then, other than that, when we're looking at this list, what we're about to talk about, I'm not really worried about ADP I'll throw some ADPs out there. But when it comes to this range, all you're really trying to do is finish your roster. Now, if you're going deeper than this and you're in best ball, we'll talk about a couple of guys after this that you're probably going to want to target in the later rounds. But the big picture is now you need now you need to get the guy you want. Most of these guys are wide receiver twos on the team, so if the Alpha gets hurt, they can become winding receiver ones. There are a couple of wide receiver three sprinkling in here, because they've got some serious talent, and we'll talk about why that is last but not least. We're always talking about opportunities. Potential wide receiver two could become a wide receiver one, just in case there's an injury. All right, let's get into it at number 41 I have Pickens now. He's going in the sixth round, so you're gonna have to pay a high price for a number two wide receiver. I'd rather go get a number one. But if you believe that Dak is gonna throw the ball more because he doesn't really have a running game anymore, then he's in a good place to get some targets, probably at least 100 obviously, steven lamb is going to Command most of the targets. And number 42 I have Pearsall for all the reasons we already talked about. Everybody is hurt in San Francisco. He's the only guy who's healthy. So at least for the first couple of games, you can figure he's going to get at least 10 targets. So I'm going to go get that kid. And number 43 Kirk. He's an 11th round ADP, so you don't really have to go out and jump and get him. He's the number two wide receiver, and I think he's gonna get a lot of targets. His problem is he's injury prone. So if he can stay healthy, I think he sees 100 targets. And while I'm on the subject of 100 targets, that's really what I'm looking at in this range. If I can find guys who have 100 targets or more, or I think you're gonna push 100 targets this season, you know, after, say, a successful first season, and now they're moving on to their second or third. These are the guys I'm targeting, and Kirk is one of those guys. If it can come back from entry, number 44 I have Jalen waddle. Now if you want waddle, you're gonna have to get him at the end of the fifth round. That is way too high a price for a wide receiver too. There are so many huge players that come after him. I would just pass on waddle. And I will say waddle is kind of hurt, kind of banged up, we don't really know, but at this point, I would pass on him. The number 45 I have Wandel Robinson now. He goes in the 13th round. He's the second target, obviously, after neighbors. Neighbors a little bit banged up, so we don't know, you know what his week one status is gonna be. So if neighbors is injured or he's kind of nursing Wanda Robinson could take a big step up in week one. And last year he pushed for 100 targets. He could get that again. Number 46 I have Keon Coleman. I like this kid. He just needs to catch more of the balls that come his way. Obviously, he's not the number one target Shakir is, but Shakir is nursing another injury, Allen. He's, you know, he loves to steal all the touchdowns from everybody on his team. It's all about me. But maybe now that he's got an MVP, maybe he'll share the love. Now, it was just disgusting last year. Here, I know you agree with me. And number 47 I have Mims. I think Denver's gonna have a breakout year. Bo Nick's gonna be great. Mims is going in the 12th round. So you're getting good value here for a guy I think is at number 46 correction number 47 I think he's gonna push 100 targets, and you might get a couple of touchdowns. He played a lot of special teams last year, he might do that again, and he got a special teams touchdown or two last year. So if he does that, you could get some extra points out of that. All right. Number 48 I have ray, ray McLeod. The reason why I picked him is because Mooney is hurt, and I think the quote from the coach was, yeah, he might return sometime this year. Well, that gives me a whole lot of confidence. Last year, he had 87 targets with London, Mooney in, with Moonies out. That's like 100 easy, right? That's when I'm putting him at 48 and number 49 I have Douglas from New England. I think Drake made, makes a big step top 12 quarterback. At least Douglas is going in the 15th round. He's the number two wide receiver there, and I think he can push for 100 targets. Number 50 I have a dunzi again. You know how I feel about Chicago. He's going in the sixth round. I have no idea why I would just pass on him, but he has the potential to be here as the wide receiver too, with a new head coach who has completely offensive minded. Number 51 I have Addison, and I don't like this pick. He's going in the seventh round. I recommend you pass on him. He's suspended for the first three games. He's got a weak six by so you lose him for four the first six weeks. This is not a guy who's gonna help you win your league. If he's you know, your wide receiver number two or number three, a guy you're leaning on as a starter. Well, you better hope you win those first four weeks that he's not there. You might find yourself sitting on the bench when playoff time comes around at number 52 I have Bateman. He's a number two in Baltimore. He's going in the 13th round. So he's cheap. There flowers doesn't get a whole lot of targets. He gets about 120 Bateman's under 100 maybe he pushes for 100 but with Hopkins health, that's kind of a question mark. They always run the ball anyway. But I mean, if flowers gets hurt, Bateman gets more targets. So there you go, at number 53 I have read from Green Bay, I think he's the best wide receiver there. The problem is is Love can't get him the ball. If he's healthy, he can push for 100 targets. Right now, he's hurt, but I think he'll be ready. He already shed his walking boot. I think he'll be ready for week one, and everyone else on the team is hurt. So, I mean, what else do you have? I mean, golden, obviously, was in the 20 through 40 range, and that's why I put him there. So read lands here. And Number 54 I have worthy. He's going in the fourth round, probably with good reason. Everyone thinks that rice is probably not going to play, or at least get such a big suspension that he's not going to impact your team enough to want to go ahead and grab him. Now a fourth round tender on worthy is pretty high, considering that mahomes doesn't really throw the deep ball very well. Had trouble hitting worthy last year, and worthy is not his number one target. All those things considered. I think he falls in this round. And then when rice comes back, I don't I don't want to see he's going to take a back seat. I think it's just going to hurt his value as you get towards the playoffs. All right, number 55 I have tyler lockett now. He's a dependable vet, good hands. Yeah, he's lost a step or two, but he's on a new team, rookie quarterback, and it's a cheap price. I mean, he's going way deep in the draft. So this is somebody you could steal in late rounds, and number 56 this is where I take a chance on Hunter. Yeah, I know. I'm not a big fan of the kid going to overall in the draft, attitude issues. He's going to play both ways. If you're in a league where you get credit for him and he, you know, he gets an interception or tackles or something like that, where you're in the IDP League, yeah, this is a great place to get him, and you might even pop him up a couple of spots here. I don't think he's going to dominate targets. They're saying he could be the number two with a number three, I wouldn't say that. I'm not sure that he runs that grid of a route, but hey, you know, we'll see what happens. I'm guessing 6070, targets, maybe a couple of touchdowns, maybe an interception or two for a touchdown. And number 57 I have Mike Wilson, his issue. Harrison commands all the targets. Then you got Connor running the ball. Trey McBride, he gets a lot of targets. So he's really the, you know, the third wheel there, and he has a problem holding out of the ball. So if he can hold on the ball, stay healthy and compete and catch those balls in the end zone that he seems to drop all the time, it'll be good at number 58 I have Yoshi boss only because I love saying Yoshi boss. I'm just kidding. He's the most solid number three in the NFL, I think. And if T Higgins or chase get hurt, he is one of the most solid number twos out there. He'll push for 7580 targets, probably half touching touchdowns. That's pretty good for 58 The number 59 I have shaheed. He's a wild card. He's got a lot of speed. Catches those really deep touchdowns his quarterbacks terrible. If he can get open and he's got that kind of breakaway speed, maybe he can give you one of those big touchdowns or two when he's healthy. He pushes for that, if the quarterback has the guts to throw the ball All right, last but not least, at least for the number 60, it's downs now he's already injured, but he is talented. If he gets back on the field, I think Jones can hit him. I just don't really think he's going to push for 100 targets. Let's see if he can stay healthy. But he has the talent to be here at 60 past this if you're in a best ball league or you have a deep draft or deep bench, look for these key guys. Higgins, he's a rookie wide receiver for Houston. Trey Harris, rookie wide receiver for the Chargers. Isaac Tesla, I love Tesla for Detroit. And Xavier Legette. He's not a rookie, obviously, he's had a couple of years already, but he's got a good rapport with his quarterback. These four guys could really be difference makers for you and their wide receiver threes on their team, but an injury with some extra opportunity, they could be breakouts for you. So if you're in a deep League, look for these guys after number 60. Okay, that'll do it for our show tonight. Now remember 41 through 60, there's a lot of unknowns, a lot of injuries. This part of the draft, you expect guys to jump five to 10 spots. It's not an exact science, and there is a whole swath of point differential between them, like I talked about in the running back show, take the guy you want. Just don't overpay for him. If he normally goes in the 15th round, don't take him in the eighth if he normally goes in the fourth round, don't take him at all. He doesn't belong in your starting lineup if I've got him in these final 20 All right, as always, I want to give a shout out to the men and women in uniform who protect the freedoms we hold dear.
